NURSE PRACTITIONER, PART-TIME, WOMEN'S HEALTH & STI

Full benefits package!! In addition to vacation and holidays, this position receives 3 weeks of compensation credits per year, to be used as additional pay or time off.

Assists the Health Officer with the development of STI protocols and standing orders.

Provides direct services to STI and Family Planning clients per standards of the Oregon Nurse Practitioner Nurse Practice Act; initiates intake screening and nursing assessments; conducts physical exams, lab tests and assures appropriate treatment to clients, utilizing standing orders; administers immunizations, injections and evaluates results; provides appropriate and up to date information verbally and in writing to increase client knowledge of his/her condition per established policy; initiates plans with clients for follow-up and treatment; provides consultation to STI treatment nurse as indicated.

Documents, reviews and evaluates medical records and data; enters client medical information into computer.
Maintains, inventories, orders and restocks drug supplies.

In the event of a public health emergency, reports to work as directed and performs role assigned by the Health Department Director or designee; may be required to work an extended or flexible schedule.
