Assists the Director of Clinical Services in the planning, organizing and management of all aspects of nursing services at the main clinic and satellites.
Essential Functions:
1. Assist in the management of nursing services in accordance with clinic, governmental, and other regulatory standards.
2. Assist in the development of departmental goals and objectives in consultation with the Director of Clinical Services.
3. Coordinate with other departments to address operational issues, formulate plans, and implement new policies/procedures.
4. Assume responsibility for nursing department in absence of the Director of Clinical Services.
5. Supervise assigned nursing staff.
6. Review and update nursing policies and procedures. Formulate new policies as needed.
7. Review and monitor work schedules, hours and duty assignments.
8. Assist with the selection and hiring of departmental personnel. Facilitate staff development and continuing education programs.
9. Develop/oversee the nursing department orientation procedure for new employees.
10. Evaluate and administer staff performance appraisals. Administer disciplinary action, as needed.
11. Assist with reviewing departmental performance, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance, legal and other regulatory agencies.
12. Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested. Facilitate department and other meetings, as needed.
13. Provide minutes to meetings, as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
14.
